Final Update: Image Credits and Future Projects
over 5 years ago – Tue, Jul 24, 2018 at 10:43:40 PM

One last quick update about the game, now that it’s been out in the wild for a little while. It was pointed out to me that I never actually gave any sort of image or design credit to the people who appear on some of the game cards and objectives, which was a bit of a misstep on my part. So I got a new version of the rulebook with those credits in it. These people went above and beyond what I’d expected to support the game, and it seemed reasonable for me to give them the credit they deserve for that.

Find the updated rulebook here.

This is most likely going to be my final update on this Kickstarter page that’s actually about No Honor Among Thieves. I might post further updates about new projects I’m doing that I think might interest you, such as expansions for No Honor Among Thieves, or other games that I'm publishing, or the fantasy criminals tabletop RPG sourcebook I’ve been writing, but this is it for NoHAT. If you want to get more regular updates about what I’m working on, you can follow my website, my newsletter (when I remember to send updates to it, anyway), my Facebook page, or my Twitter feed. If you use BoardGameGeek, rate the game in their database and chat with other people who're playing it in the forums. If you have questions about the rules, check the FAQ and Errata page, or send me a question. If you've got friends who want a copy of the game, they can find it in my online store.

I think that about covers it. One last time, thank you all so very much. I quite literally couldn’t have done all this without you.

Cheers,

Adam

How to Play Videos
almost 6 years ago – Tue, Jun 26, 2018 at 12:08:36 AM

At the request of certain backers who prefer to learn how to play a game from someone explaining it to them rather than reading the rulebook, I’ve put together a set of how-to-play videos for No Honor Among Thieves. They’re a lot longer than I expected they’d be, but on the plus side they're very thorough.

Part 1: Setting up the game

Part 2: Actions on your turn

Part 3: Scheme cards and character abilities

 Part 4: Staging a heist

 Part 5: Ending the game

Hopefully these prove to be helpful to you. Remember, you can always ask me for clarification on the rules, either through Kickstarter or the contact page on my website. There are also other players active on the No Honor Among Thieves BoardGameGeek page, who may be able to help answer your questions as well.

Thanks for playing.

Cheers,

Adam

Carpe Omnis Games Store Launch
almost 6 years ago – Mon, Apr 23, 2018 at 10:12:18 AM

I’ve been getting a few questions recently asking where people who missed the campaign could preorder the game, since I closed the BackerKit preorder page when I submitted the final manufacturing order. I figured it was about time I provided an answer to that question. The Carpe Omnis Games web store is now open for business at carpeomnis.com/store, selling preorders of No Honor Among Thieves and promo packs containing the stretch goals from the Kickstarter, as well as the Gallery Heist art book, NoHAT hats, and a bunch of Carpe Omnis Games branded apparel that I made mainly so that I could have something cool to wear at conventions.

I don’t know if anyone other than me wants to wear a Carpe Omnis Games t-shirt, but I figured I might as well give you the option.

If you’ve got a friend who missed the campaign and wants the game, or you didn’t pledge for the art book but want to take a look at it now, or you want to wear a cool Carpe Omnis Games logo on your chest, then here’s the solution for your problems.

Orders of No Honor Among Thieves made through the website will be shipped and delivered only after Kickstarter fulfillment is done. The Gallery Heist art book PDF is available for immediate download, however, and the hats, t-shirts, and other apparel are also ready to go.

You might notice that the Guilder and Action Coin tokens are missing from the store right now. I’ve got 90 or so Action Coins left, and a similar number of Guilders, and if I wanted to sell them now I’d have to ship them all to my fulfillment center first, because I really don’t want to have to mail them out myself anymore. I’ve been going back and forth between selling them on the website or only selling/handing them out at conventions, and frankly I’m still undecided. If you’ve got an opinion either way, let me know.

It's been four years of occasionally stressful work from when I first had the idea that became No Honor Among Thieves, but now the game's finally shipping and I've got a little store set up. Feels good.

Cheers,

Adam

Final Shipping Update
almost 6 years ago – Sat, Apr 14, 2018 at 01:02:01 AM

Eleven months late, but we’re finally here. No Honor Among Thieves is shipping.

You should be getting an email with tracking information for your game at some point within the next two weeks, if you haven’t already. Australian backers should be getting those emails nowish, European backers will start getting them next week, and everyone else should start getting them the week after that.

As shipping starts up, some things to note:

  • It’s now very difficult to update addresses, since shipping is actively happening. If your game ships to the wrong address, and you let me know about it at some point, then I can still probably get you a game, but it’s going to take a lot longer.
  • If you get a game that has been damaged during shipping, you should be able to contact the fulfillment center for replacement components. Take photos of the damage and send them in with the email, because we need pictures to make insurance claims with the shipping companies.
  • Same thing if any components are missing. Let me know, and I’ll get you replacement components.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly, but we all know that mistakes happen. The best we can do is to make sure that we have plans to deal with them.

We’re in the final stretch now. Thank you so much for bearing with me thus far.

Cheers,

Adam

Shipping Update: March
about 6 years ago – Thu, Mar 15, 2018 at 12:39:57 AM

Hello again.

Ships are reaching port this month, so I wanted to update you on our progress in getting No Honor Among Thieves into your hands.

Australia: The ship has reached port, and the games are in the hands of Aetherworks, the local fulfillment company I'm partnering with to ship games there. They're currently waiting on a few things before they start shipping--the Action Coin and Sponsor card add-ons haven't arrived yet, and we want to ship them all out to backers in the same boxes. There's also 10 games going to New Zealand backers that didn't get included in the original shipment to Aetherworks (my mistake) which are on their way to Australia for further distribution from there, but that shouldn't delay the Australian shipping. You can keep an eye on the Aetherworks Facebook page for updates.

Europe: The ship has reached port. However, the fulfillment company that I'm using for the EU shipment, GamesQuest, is currently busy fulfilling a bunch of other projects, including the latest mega-project by Cool Mini or Not, so there's a couple things in the delivery queue before No Honor Among Thieves. I'm not sure when they're going to have worked through that, but they tell me that they're making headway.

USA: The ship carrying the games for North America has not yet reached port. You can track it here (I'm pretty sure this is the right ship, apologies if it's not).

I'll let you know when I have more news.

Cheers,

Adam
